The "random" violence between the citizenry and government is a result of failure for those agencies to properly protect the citizens and punish those who fail to protect the public. Instead they are given a free pass, sending mixed messages regarding the significance of the rule of law. This has to change.
In the case of Deadly Force:
1. Individuals should be suspended without pay.
2. If they over reacted or did not use restraint, Then:
2a. They should be banned from any type of law enforcement for life.
2b. Revoke their right to own or use a gun in any capacity.
3. If falsification of documentation or destruction of evidence occurs then criminal charges should be brought to bear.
4. If other law enforcement individuals obfuscate the truth then they should be penalized 1-3 above too.
