We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Federal protections against discrimination For the LGBT community on the basis of orientation and gender identity.

Created by I.A. on June 15, 2016

Lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people need to be protected against discrimination in their workplaces, housing, blood donation and many other facets of everyday life. We are plagued by homophobic rhetoric and denied basic protections that other classes are afforded.

In the wake of the Homophobic Terrorist attack at the Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando, FL on 06/12/2016 we demand that sexual orientation and gender identity be formally recognized, on a federal level, as protected classes with a comprehensive non-discrimination law.
