We the people recognize the Federal Reserve is a private institution and is not a formal part of our federal government. Despite their being a private organization, they have been allowed to operate with minimal oversight since their creation in 1913.
We the people gave the power to print money to Congress. Moreover it was a system of weight and measurement, not faith and credit, which is the current basis for our circulating fiat currency, our government collectively is responsible for allowing this flagrant debasement.
For too long the power to print money has been delegated to a private ogranization and it is time we return that power to our Representatives.
To do so effectively we must begin with a full audit of the Federal Reserve, completed by at least two independent third parties.
