Federal Student Loan Forgiveness to public servants. Fire, Police amd Paramedics.

Created by J.K. on January 12, 2013

Currently there is Federal student loan forgiveness for certain fields. For example a teacher who works in a low income school district is able to receive some sort of student loan forgiveness. Expand the scope of fields to include, Police, Fire and EMS. Though Police and Fire are often paid extremely well EMS is paid just above minimum wage. Loans from schooling can often cost more than a paramedic can afford. Most paramedics in the country are paid less than 15.00 an hour. This should include not only government employed as well as private employed who provide the only source of pre-hospital care in their areas. Police, Fire and EMS put their lives on the line every day to protect the citizens of the country and should be honored with this privilege.
