Sometimes dreams do not come true. Sometimes you go to college and graduate but nothing comes of it. So you go to work at a medium to low paying job because you still have to live the rest of your life You have to take care of your family. You have to be a responsible adult and citizen. Hardworking, low-income Americans need relief from large federal student loans that burden them year after year. I propose a one-time only forgiveness program on all current federal student loans up to $50,000 that are ten years or older where the debtor has not defaulted on the loan, is a United States citizen living within the United States of America and does not have a criminal record. Large corporations are able to get relief when they need it. Why not the average decent american citizen?
