Federal tax dollars for the poor

Created by K.F. on May 01, 2015

I would be in favor of a one year mandatory national service corps program for high school graduates who are not attending college. Or high school dropouts, who would serve until 18 years of age and work towards attaining a GED. I would favor paying these corps a salary and room and board during the duration of their corps service. A high school graduate who entered the military and stayed in the military for at least 12 months would be exempt from serving in the corps. The corps would serve the needs of communities in daycare, help senior citizens, tribal regions, building houses, renovating houses, public works such as parks and community gardens, whatever the community needs are would be what the youth corps would serve.
