Federal tax exemption for parents of terminally ill children

Created by S.S. on February 23, 2016

Parents who have a child battling a potentially terminal illness are under tremendous financial burdens with medical bills. At the same time their income is likely reduced due to one or both being on family medical leave, or reduced hours to spend time at the hospital. They should be granted tax exempt status for the duration of their child's illness. Everyone should pay their fair share, but what is fair is not to burden those who are suffering already.
