Federalize the Missouri national guard to protect the citizens of Ferguson, MO as they exercise their const. rights.

Created by W.R. on August 13, 2014

We simply ask that the President federalize the national guard to ensure the security and protection of the people of Ferguson, Missouri who are currently living in a police state. Peaceful protestors have been shot and injured, journalists have been arrested & censored, citizens are harassed on the street by police in tactical gear.

10 U.S. Code § 12406 provides, "whenever...the President is unable with the regular forces to execute the laws of the United States; the President may call into Federal service members and units of the National Guard of any State in such numbers as he considers necessary to...execute those laws".

The United States Constitution explicitly provides for 'the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances'.
