In Denver, the police have violently suppressed Occupy Denver, which adhered to a strong principle of non-violence, using tear gas, pepper spray, pepper-ball rounds fired at people's heads, and physical beatings.
In Oakland, the police violently suppressed its Occupy movement, at one point, firing a tear-gas canister into Marine veteran Scott Olsen, causing life-threatening brain-damage.
The police and local governments are out of control, and in contempt of the Constitution. The President needs to federalize the National Guard and order them to protect American citizens from these violent police assaults.
