federalize the National Guard to protect those who are being arrested for exercising their right to peaceably assemble.

Created by R.P. on October 26, 2011

On Sep 24, 1957 Pres. Dwight D. Eisenhower federalized the entire Arkansas National Guard in order to ensure the safe entry of the Little Rock 9 to Little Rock Central High School the following day. This necessary action by the Duty-Bearer ensured the ability of the Right-Holder to exercise their rights.

Currently, we find people being denied their right to peaceably assemble in places such as Oakland, CA. Instead, police are using force and making mass arrests.

Pres. Obama gave a speech on 5/19/11 that stated: "the United States has a historic opportunity and the responsibility to support the rights of people clamoring for freedoms."

Mr. President, intercede on behalf of Americans by supporting and protecting their rights. Federalize the National Guard in states that deny them.
