Lighting the spark in children's minds will create a dynamic populace and be the best long term investment we can make as a country. The starting salary should be lucrative so many of the best who currently take finance and lawyer positions will take positions in the classroom. Funnel the large salaries to the teachers who have direct contact with children not the redundant administrators at the bureaucratic level.
