At the current point in time, there are many promising young students who want to take the ACT standardized test a second or third time in hopes of scoring higher. Many of these students are opting out of taking it again because of its ridiculously high price. The Test costs about $90 to take as of now. There is no way you could expect a low income household to spend $180 to have a chance of raising a score two points. By lowering this price to a maximum of $20 you could easily ensure that these promising students could take the test multiple times while at a financially comfortable point. The ACT could also make up for the drop in price because more people would be taking it multiple times.
