Marijuana is unfairly criminalized by the United States and is considered far more dangerous than it actually is. The only reason people see it as so bad is because it has been illegal for so long. It is just like the prohibition of alcohol; if it was still illegal it would be seen as just as bad. Alcohol kills people and marijuana does not. Americans should not be charged criminally for a plant that grows naturally in nature. It should be one's own decision whether he or she uses marijuana under certain parameters. If we really want to lower our debt we should decriminalize it as it costs billions of dollars to persecute users who are minding their own business. Please take a stand and fight for this right. There are good people who mind their own business getting in trouble for nothing.
