Federally fund a USA Government FOSS GNU/Linux Distribution to make a high quality Operating System available to all.

Created by T.B. on October 29, 2012

We should have a federally funded FOSS GNU/Linux distribution to assist in the adoption of open Standards and International Standards as well as to assist in securing our countries citizens computer systems and telco provider backbones. Not everyone can afford to purchase a proprietary Operating System OS. This can also include applications for use in US schools to reduce educational taxes across the USA and US government.

A key component to this should be easy of distributing free security updates and to promote better quality OS's from proprietary vendors.

This could also be used to reduce governmental costs.
