Federally investigate the business practices of the NCAA.

Created by B.M. on February 22, 2013

Recently, the NCAA has been accused of enforcing mandatory, often controversial rules in order to financially benefit itself at the cost of student athletes as well as the institutions which support them. Furthermore, the NCAA has no competing business and lacks checks and balances from outside forces, arguably making it a monopoly. Finally and most alarmingly, the NCAA demonstrates clear lack of institutional integrity as is evidenced by the University of Miami investigation.

Thousands of student athletes participate every year in sports, generating hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue for public and private institutions. These sports are integral parts of the campus culture and produce hundreds of new professional athletes for our favorite sports teams.
