Federally legalize the sale and use of marijuana to promote an end to the violence and waste of taxpayer money.

The war on drugs has been a complete failure. With the FEDERAL legalization of marijuana, we would restore sanity to our legal system, remove non-violent offenders from prisons, take the control of cannabis out of the hands of violent druglords and back into the hands of the government. We can tax the sale and put the money towards restoring our failing education and crumbling infrastructure. Prohibition of alcohol was an obvious failure, as is prohibition of cannabis, yet we continue to allow alcohol and tobacco to kill our citizens while the harmless cannabis remains illegal. Let us finally end this senseless war on the millions of productive citizens who enjoy cannibis without hurting anyone else or themselves. It's time to make sense of our marijuana laws.
