This bill will allow people of the same-sex to legally be married in the United States. These couples would receive the same benefits from their partner(s) that any other couple would receive (obtaining insurance benefits from your spouse, receiving wages, workers' compensation, and retirement plan benefits for a deceased spouse, visiting your spouse when in intensive hospital care, etc.). Same-sex couples will also be able to adopt.
