In many industries across this country professionals held to a high esteem are also held to a high standard as a result of the level of responsibility they carry. These professions include doctors, nurses, teachers, and even truck drivers. We have all witnessed the scrutiny our law enforcement servants have experienced. There have been many concerns from both sides of the debate surrounding the details of officer involved shootings. This petition is a joint effort by the American people to protect our brothers and sisters who dedicate their lives to their duty and protect the communities they serve.
