It has been well documented and proven by top experts that discriminating against dogs by breeds is virtually impossible. Many States have recently enacted laws prohibiting cities in their State from having Breed Specific Legislation. However, there are still many States allowing their cities to utilize the Home Rule and enact their own municipality laws regarding Breed Specific Legislation.
Breed Specific Legislation is a waste of municipality resources and is ineffective. A dangerous/vicious dog ordinance should replace the prohibited dog breed. Every dog is an individual and should be treated as such.
We urge the President of the United States to pass a Federal Law that prohibits ALL States from having any Breed Specific Legislation!
