The Love Guru, a 2008 romantic comedy that was written, produced, and starred in by Mike Myers as well as directed by Marco Schnabel, is quite possibly one of the greatest films to be shown in theaters in decades. Though the film is about a Canadian hockey player, it shows America's fantastic multicultural relations, through of its portrayals of cultures such as Hinduism and Canada. For these reasons we ask that President Obama federally recognize The Love Guru as the Great American Film, similar to how the Star Spangled Banner is our national anthem.
