Our soldiers sacrifice so much of themselves already by joining our armed forces. When they are deployed, those sacrifices are increased exponentially. They have already, and in some cases will in the near future, reduce the number of hot meals received to only two a day due to those serving in Afghanistan. Allegedly, this was because of the sequester.
It is a disservice to not give them the same basic human rights that we give to prisoners (3 hot meals). To do so is to insinuate that they are not deserving of such basic rights, thus less important.
