Fight Animal Cruelty - Stop Unnecessary Ear Cropping of Dogs

Created by S.W. on January 31, 2014

The practice of ear cropping has become too widely accepted. Though the look achieved by cropping the ears of certain dog breeds has become a recognizable cosmetic trademark, the practice is cruel and unnecessary. My family has two boxers, a breed that is commonly plagued by the practice of ear cropping. They are kind, loving, beautiful dogs – floppy ears and all. There is no medical or physical advantage for a dog to have their ears surgically altered, and the practice of this unnecessary surgical procedure needs to end. To subject dogs to this form of disfiguration is a form of animal cruelty, and actions must be taken to stop it.
