We call on you to:
-Oppose the Keystone XL pipeline which threatens our environment for Canada and China's short-term gain.
-End taxpayer subsidies to Big Oil and Coal. We can't afford it and they don't need or deserve it.
-Strictly regulate all drilling and mining operations here in the US.
-Ban the practice of hydraulic fracturing or "fracking" as it causes irreparable harm to our environment.
-Raise efficiency standards for all new vehicles sold in the US, not just passenger cars and trucks.
-Increase citizens' awareness of climate change science and steps they can take to live less wastefully.
-Be a positive role model by living green.
