Fight the construction of the Canadian Nuclear Waste Facility a half a mile away from the Great Lakes!

Created by A.S. on June 10, 2015

Canada has been granted recommendation to construct their Nuclear Waste Facility. This facility will be located only a half a mile away from the Great Lakes (The worlds largest fresh water resource.) There is no guarantee that this facility will not leak. Forty million American and Canadian residents rely on this water supply. If an accident occurs that could mean the end of our greatest water resource, fishing industry, and recreational businesses as well as putting the health of our citizens at risk. This project would effect the Great Lakes for over 100,000 years! Please sign the petition and encourage the government to fight the construction of this facility using the 1909 Boundary Waters Treaty and the International Joint Commission. Thank you.
