Students in HK stood up for HK democracy. They skip school to fight for liberties peacefully, facing the fear of being arrested by brutal police and prosecuted by government. We stand because democracy is a necessity. It shall not be crashed under violence of police. Chinese government promised a referendum in HK in 1997, but the proposal of referendum which was revised for times was still a fake referendum with pre-selection of candidates by the Chinese government-controlled election committee. HK citizens can only choose from the candidates selected out by the committee.
