Fight home-grown terrorism by pursuing the maximum sentence for Bradley Manning and Edward Snowden

Created by C.D. on June 11, 2013

We have seen the deadly impact of home-grown terrorists and we must respond to information threats with the same vigor as we have responded to kinetic threats.

Independent of our opinions of the government actions disclosed in the leaked documents, we request that all espionage and treason suspects be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and the maximum sentence be pursued. This is a vital matter of protecting our citizens from internal threats and deterring would-be terrorists.

US Code, Chapter 37, Section 798 defines espionage to include "Disclosure of classified information."

US Constitution, Article III Section 3 states that "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort..."
