Fight poverty with a $375M 3 yr pledge to the Global Partnership for Education.

Created by D.C. on September 23, 2011

We ask that the Administration support the Global Partnership for Education (formerly The Education for All - Fast Track Initiative) with a 3 year, $375M pledge of US support at the November 7, 2011 Replenishment Conference in Copenhagen.

67M children worldwide have NO access to primary school even when we know that education improves earnings, food production, child survival, disease control, and security. If we fail to act now more kids will be out of primary school in 2015 than today.

Despite the US being a voting board member of GPE, we have never contributed; as a result, tiny Romania gives more to GPE than we do. Education dollars have proven to be the most effective investment we can make to fight poverty. We must invest in GPE.
