Fight for the undersigned's desire to ban assault weapons, large magazines, and have universal weapon background checks.

This petition is being created to give the president direct evidence that we the people have had enough of the mass murders and gun violence prevalent in our country. We do not with to give up our right to own personal weapons. We realize that the only reason for "assault" style weapons and large capacity magazines is to inflict massive tissue damage and multiple deaths to as many human targets as possible as quickly and efficiently as possible without reloading. They have little to no hunting or legitimate self defense purpose for the general population. The universal background check is necessary to keep the criminal element and those who cannot legally possess weapons from circumventing the law. A universal background check for ALL firearms purchases is just good common sense.
