I have a complaint regarding the most recent abortion ban bill in Florida, signed by Rick Scott on November 14, 2014. It states that at any point in a woman's pregnancy, she cannot receive an abortion if a doctor decides that the fetus can live beyond birth. It also removes the psychological trouble exception for mothers' health as well. This is a clear violation of Roe v. Wade, the Fourteenth Amendment, and the rights of women in Florida. Roe v. Wade states that "The Court ruled that the states were forbidden from outlawing or regulating any aspect of abortion performed during the first trimester of pregnancy, could only enact abortion regulations reasonably related to maternal health in the second and third trimesters..." (pbs.org).
