On February 26, 2012, George Zimmerman violated the civil rights of Trayvon Martin when he racially profiled him, approached him without cause and fired a single gunshot to his heart resulting in his death.
On July 13, 2013 a jury of six acquitted George Zimmerman of this crime and he was not held accountable the murder of Trayvon Martin or the violation of Trayvon Martin's civil rights!
This petition asks President Obama to instruct the United States Justice Department to file criminal charges against Mr. Zimmerman and afford Trayvon Martin the justice that he deserves.
