Social Security is not a benefit, nor is it an entitlement; it is a contract (legally enforceable agreement) between the Government and its Citizens. The program is self funded and was designed to be separate from the Government’s budget. Therefore, any attempt to use those funds for any purpose other than the purpose for which it was collected from its Citizen beneficiaries can only be described as embezzlement, and should be prosecuted as such.
Any politician who ever voted to use Social Security funds should be charged with embezzlement. In a perfect world, upon conviction, their worldly possessions would be confiscated, sold, and the proceeds returned to the Social Security fund.
