President Rodrigo Duterte is a brutal, callous leader who has shirked the frameworks of international law and basic human compassion. Under his rule, thousands of drug dealers and users have been murdered in a series of extrajudicial killings by the Philippine police force. He has coarsened the dialogue of international diplomacy, at one point referring to our President as a "son of a whore" and telling the European Parliament to "f*** off" when they protested against the violence. With Duterte's promise to kill "millions" of drug users, and with President Duterte's recent comparison of himself to Adolf Hitler and of his cause to that of the Holocaust, we the people hereby petition our government to condemn and file sanctions against the Philippine government of Rodrigo Duterte
