Fill the four commisioner vacancies at the Federal Election Assistance Commission to insure voter protection in 2014.

Created by K.K. on March 19, 2013

Following the wave of voter ID laws passed prior to the 2012 election, several citizens found their right to vote threatened by longer waitlines, and photo ID requirements. Given the current debate over Provision Five of the VRA, which could result in the elimination of what little federal oversight voters have left, it seems only logical to turn to the Election Assistance Commission for "assistance". Unfortunately, since December of 2011 this adminstration has failed to fill the four commissioner vacancies. For countless voters across the country, I urge we join together in signing a petition that will bring authority and direction back to a commission capable of combatting voter suppression with voter protection.
