The current vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court is crippling an institution that protects the interests of minority groups and ensures equal justice under the law. Please use your recess appointment power to fill that vacancy on December 30, 2016.
While your appointee will likely only serve for a single calendar year, a lot of good (or bad) can happen in a year. You will be protecting the rights of women, children, the poor, the disenfranchised, and the vulnerable. You will be providing a chance to fight “bathroom bills” and preserve equal access to the voting booth. You will be giving this country the gift of justice.
