finally legalize the nationwide use and consumption of marijuana and its derivatives

Our country has terribly unfair laws that felonize the use and possession of personal use marijuana and derivatives. Those states which totally or partially legalize such trends have to suffer federal penalties. These laws,although well-intentioned,involve the criminalization of medical research and responsible use of the marijuana plant and its derivatives. For all of us it's time that the White House and Congress stop the un-American war on drugs that has claimed millions of tax dollars and resources. I call on our President Barack Obama, his White House staff, and finally Congress, to work together on legalizing marijuana and its sources just as alcohol was, and still is, legalized and regulated when Prohibition was finally repealed for good in the 1930s.
