National holidays should be days that have meaning to the country . They should be days that people have an emotional attachment to, and really feel personally touched. I don't know about anyone else but I truly am touched on the day of September 11th . I am a new yorker and have connections to families that were directly effected by the attacks on the towers so maybe I feel more then some , but 9/11 is the only day if the year I cry. When I hear the names being read I just can't help myself. I don't think I'm alone when I say that 9/11 touched us all and the least we can do to honor the ones we lost is to create a national holiday . Please join me in signing this petition to create a day I'm sure many thought was long over due.
