An individual can only be president for 8 years.
Congressmen and senators can be in office indefinitely as can many other elected officials.
There is the conflict. Stagnating, unbending, unwilling to work with each other. This also plays a part in why the two party system is still in effect.
The main concern of these elected officials should be their constituents. Most often it is not. GETTING REELECTED IS THEIR MAIN FOCUS.
The tax paying people of this country deserve better representation than people only looking out for their interests.
Create term limits for all elected officials. Congress, senate, governors, state representatives, mayors, aldermen.
