Just wrote a note to a former president. The solution, immediately to our Housing Crisis is to make 30 year mortgages, 50 year mortgages. Start with the start date of the mortgage and people have the option to pay the 30 year rate or the 50 year rate. It cuts debt, banks stay solvent, forclosures stop, forgive anyone 24 months behind, add it to their debt but amortize over 50 years. Problem is now solved, cash in American's pockets and lets move on! Property Values will Rebound and we all move on. Most Americans have been paying their mortgage payments.
