Norway is a long-time ally to the United States, a major petroleum exporter, and powerful economic state in Northern Europe.
The United States should appoint, as its Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway, a seasoned statesman who has experience and knowledge pertinent to Scandinavia.
The testimony of the current nominee put forth by the Administration raises serious concerns about his understanding and sensitivity to the current politics in Norway. Surely, George Tsunis could better serve the United States in a different capacity.
We the people respectfully request that President Obama put forth an additional nomination to serve as the Ambassador to Norway.
