Cancer is claiming more and more lives each year. Whether it is the toxic chemicals pumped into our meats or dairy products, or common household cleaning supplies the numbers are clear. Cancer is a growing cause of death in America and it destroys families and people everyday. It is 2013 and still their are treatments being used today that have been used for over 30 years and the end result is rarely a long life ahead. I am proposing that our national government redoubles our efforts and makes it the most important bi partisan issue for healthcare since Social Security. The race to find a cure for cancer should be intensified and given a projected goal date of 2020. This will give people hope around the country and hopefully give more motivation than ever before to medical engineers.
