Back in 1996 I joined the US Navy and was ready to be a sailor for my country. During boot camp, I had trouble with a hearing test and was told that I had major medical problems that would lead to a tumor in my head in a few years. They discharged me from the Navy and sent me home. I went to numerous specialists to see what was wrong and none of them found anything wrong other then a less then 5% hearing loss in one ear. When I brought this all to the attention of the Navy, I was told I could not reenlist because I was given an E4 reenlistment code. That is the worst one to get and nobody will look at you again. I was never told why I was given that code and I wanted to go back in. Now I am one year away from the max age and I want to know why. So please help me get a straight answer.
