find a solution to the homeless and mentally ill population.

Created by G.M. on April 14, 2013

The homeless and mentally ill population continue to clog our emergency rooms and cost us the taxpayer. The homeless most often seeking a bed for the night, a meal, or a band-aid solution for a treatable problem that they are unable or unwilling to get help for. The mentally ill seek treatment and safety but more often than not, they rotate in and out, never getting their needs met which can be dangerous and in the least frustrating. Some of these individuals threaten the normalcy and safety of our lives. Many of the mass killings are carried out by the mentally ill that have slipped through the cracks, gone off medications or stopped treatment. A solution needs to be sought that protects their rights, helps them in an effective manner, and keeps the general population safer
