find a way to provide legally valid receipts or ballot copies to voters after voting in federal elections.

Created by J.P. on April 27, 2015

To require the federal government to give voters a legal document after voting that proves how the person intended to vote. This would be a legal document that can be kept by the voter and be voluntarily resubmitted to assist in a recount. No voter would be compelled to participate, and every voter could keep his/her vote secret if they so desire. Voters could check their receipts at the time of voting and ask for a re-vote on the spot if the receipt did not show the candidates and choices the voter intended to vote for.
