Since we the people's tax dollars pay for congress and the senate's paychecks, I would suggest the for a one month term both the house and the senate only be allowed to take home $2000.00 for that month. This is an average of what most Americans take home for a month. Apply the unused amount to the national deficit. Repeat this process one a quarter to keep the house and senate humble to the strugles of the average American.
