Finish the American unfinished business in Taiwan

Created by J.H. on May 27, 2013

According to the San Francisco Peace Treaty, USMG has been the principal occupying power of Taiwan after WWII. The Circuit Judge Brown said the Executive can’t unilaterally change it. Due to America and China’s tumultuous relationship over the past sixty years has trapped the inhabitants of Taiwan in political purgatory. Taiwan people are stateless.

Since the military occupation ordered by General MacArthur in 1945, the final de jure status of Taiwan has been delayed for 68 years. Taiwan is another Guantánamo Bay in the West Pacific. Taiwan people deserve the right of Self-Determination. Now is time for President Obama to declare an end to the military occupation on Taiwan and to finish the American unfinished business in Taiwan. Please tell us who is Taiwan’s sovereign?
