Since the BP oil spill in 2010, crude oil has devastated the Gulf of Mexico, harming wildlife, ecosystems, and human health and economy. Although it has been four years since the spill, much of the oil is still in the gulf, where it remains a threat to the environment. Therefore, we ask that the remainder of the oil be removed, that stricter laws be made concerning the drilling of oil, and that those laws already existing be more closely observed.
