In a recent Congressional Oversight hearing(seen here: http://youtu.be/kFgrB2Wmh5s), Congressman Jared Polis asked Administrator Michele Leonhart if she believed a number of drugs (crack, methamphetamine, heroin, etc.) were worse for an individual's health than cannabis. Her response, in which she affirmed that cannabis was just as harmful as the drugs mentioned above, goes against what millions of individuals with common sense and logic already know: cannabis is not harmful. Keeping Michele Leonhart as head of the DEA is preventing any kind of debate from occurring on the therapeutic and medicinal benefits of cannabis.
