Fire CIA Director Brennan for saying torture was critical to security, despite it being clearly illegal and ineffective.

Created by S. . on December 10, 2014

Despite clear evidence from the Senate report that torture is not only ineffective and inferior to other forms of interrogation, but also likely to lead to false answers, CIA Director John Brennan has publicly taken the position that torture was "critical" to national security, and that what happened amounted only to "mistakes." The CIA has known since Nosenko that torture doesn't work. If this man is permitted to remain in his position for taking such an immoral, extra-legal, and erroneous position, then there will have been no accountability and no lessons learned. This is the same CIA Director who initially indicated that his department hadn't spied on the US Senate, but then had to admit that they had. John Brennan has shown contempt for Congress, and for the President, and must go.
