All too often we witness Congressmen that do not bother to show up for work. Empty chairs fill the room, evidence of a legislative government that does not care about earning its own exorbitant paycheck. We witness Congressmen falling asleep in their chairs & ignoring proceedings to play videogames on their cellphones.
We the people deserve representatives that demonstrate sufficient empathy for their constituents and possess an adequate work ethic. In any other occupation, behavior as ridiculous as this would be grounds for termination, and Congress should be held to no less of a standard. Their decisions affect the entire country & should be taken seriously.
We deserve to be represented by individuals that will be held up to the standards of literally every other job on the planet.
