The Obama administration in 2008 pledged to protect the free and open internet from corporate influence by supporting the policy of net neutrality. Recently the FCC, a department of the government whose commissioners are appointed by the president himself have come out in direct opposition to the concept of a fair and open internet where everyone plays by the same rules. If the Obama administration is to keep its campaign promise for Net Neutrality, Obama MUST act to prevent the FCC from making such a blatantly pro-ISP/anti-consumer decision.
